it’s a marketing prank. With current monthly subscriptions only idiots will buy it. Sure, you don’t have to buy anything. What if someone has an aplication with 50k users an hour. How much resources drains that from a cloud? Will you pay 500$ for monthly subscription? Cloud or no cloud, for large enviroments you need a lot of money. For smaller enviroments, you’re better with buying your own server.

This is an awesome video – 1 of the best I’ve seen – it gets my adrenaline pumping just watching it – esp when the music kicks. With a balance POV though – there is too much hype about the Cloud and it should not be treated as a silver bullet solution for all IT woes. After watching this video it’s easy to understand why Microsoft sued Salesforce a few days ago

Very succinct presentation. Cloud computing assumes a reliable internet connection. What about the issues of hacking and cloud computing? Imagine millions of pieces of data in one place…certainly make a hacking feast!!!
Cloud Computing is the best way to go for small medium size businesses.
